Welcome to Glen Ellen, California
The wine industry continues to thrive in the quiet, rural North Bay community of Glen Ellen, which was once the home of author Jack London. In the 19th century, Glen Ellen grew around its namesake--a ranch and vineyard owned by Pennsylvania businessman Charles Stuart--and evolved into a lumber village and popular vacation stop for San Franciscans. Stuart named his ranch after his wife Ellen.
